Vintage Edge. Substantiating the amusingly ‘modest’ women of the 60’s, in granny frocks complete with bib details and sinuous, bell-patterned sleeves. Just Cavalli, Marc Jacobs, and Chloe reminisce this ladylike fashion for fall / winter 2012-2013.

Draperies. Anyone can do wonders with draping as long as it’s done with style. Beautiful draped silhouettes come out in Bottega Veneta, and tough ones by Haider Ackermann.

Onesies. Derek Lam featured functional onesies, unlike last season’s skin showing versions.
Puffers. The new chic is “shapeless, hefty, and plump.” Such chic is seen at Jean Paul Gaultier.

Origami. Last but not the least, this Japanese inspired fashion is constructed with the most innovative designs yet. Try Issey Miyake, Guy Laroche and Haider Ackermann.

I don’t like the majority of them. First I feel that all these pieces have been created already by other designers in past years and some of theme you can’t even wear out in the street! unless you are a celebrity, but I do love a lot of the pieces as well. I think my favorite is “Haider Ackermann” theirs just something about that striking feminine beauty and so fall! A lot of the make up I can do without, on my opinion I think it competed to much with the clothing, the shoes loved almost all of theme.. Great post. Its interesting to know and have a poll on how many people actually do follow trends. I think more and more woman are creating their own looks and wearing what makes theme feel good verses what the designers forecast on seasonal trends! The new generation is all about creating a look not much following a trend. I remember many years ago when trends were the ” THING” to follow, now that is all changing big time.

I see a lot of things to draw inspiration from here – and me on the other hand can see a lot of this transferring from runway to street. . . Just depends on what you do with it
*M*
Yeah, I see inspiration as well and then you take it to your level of creativity to the street…
I love all the fashion on this post the whole atmpsphere is electric
Amazing pure bliss!
I love reading you and the pictures you shared are great and allow a great visualization of what you explain. It might seem at times that new collections are not creative or showing new ideas. Someone once said that all brilliant ideas were thought by someone else already. Creativity is being explored and exhibited more than ever and it is harder and harder to be amazed and to amaze others. So maybe it is to the details that we need to look at. What you “showcase” here shows the details of some very amazing minds. thank you!
Dear Confashionista, it is so fantastic you look and see trugh our eyes. Yes, is hard to discover something brand new in the last collections, but we can find the beauty and innovative creativity that can impress us in any detail even small, that give a new life or new point of view about the fashion and the design in general… We trully appreciate your words. Thank you!
