A high-profile crowd flocked to the exclusive Fendi event in Paris to admire the luxurious new boutique venue, soak in Karl Lagerfeld’s photo exhibition called “The Glory of Water” of Rome’s most iconic fountains and watch the restored reel of Histoire d’Eau, a trailblazing fashion film that in 1977 served as the launch of Fendi’s first ready-to-wear collection.
THE EXHIBITION – Photo Gallery
Located on the banks of the Seine, “The Glory of Water” is an amazing multi-sensory environment featuring 100 striking black and white images of Rome’s most iconic fountains lensed by Karl Lagerfeld, printed using the traditional techniques of daguerrotype and platinotype.
Fendi for Fountains is announced, a project aimed at preserving Rome’s heritage with the restoration of the city’s most gorgeous fountains, beginning with the Trevi and followed by the complex of the “Quattro Fontane”. The undertaking is further proof that since the on start, Rome has been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Fendi, setting the foundations for a true love story.
