There are few things in life that can quite match the elegance of Italian style. Brands like Maserati and Ermenegildo Zegna have it in spades, but now the two are teaming up to give the Quattroporte — arguably the most luxurious automobile ever to emerge from Italy — even more class. Unveiled as a concept car at the Frankfurt Auto Show just a few weeks ago, the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition upgrades on the existing luxury saloon with a series of special touches to make it that much more desirable to the style-conscious and well-endowed.
For starters, these two titans of Italian style have painted this Quattroporte in a unique shade of platinum that includes ultra-fine aluminum pigments for a rich metallic luster and a gloss black primer for an even deeper warmth. The finish even extends to the mirror-polished, 20-inch Mercurio alloys. Inside, Zegna has applied some of its signature textiles to lend an extra air of sophistication to an already sophisticated cabin environment. The seats, door panels and headliner are upholstered in the softest leather, offset by grey fabric that looks straight off the most elegant bespoke suits. In the trunk you’ll find a special set of fitted luggage created specifically for Maserati by Zegna, with special dedication plaques fitted inside and out. Power comes courtesy of Maserati’s new flagship engine, a 3.8-liter V8 with twin turbochargers that delivers 530 horsepower for a rapid run from 0-62 miles per hour in just 4.7 seconds.

While specific details have not yet been announced, Maserati says that the vehicle that debuted in Frankfurt points the way towards a limited run of production versions to follow. When it does, you can expect it will fetch a considerable premium over the existing V8-powered Quattroporte, which retails for approximately $138,000.
